Giving your Garden Personality
Though the popularity of landscaping is increasing, and the passion for gardening is also on the rise, there is a lack of trained professionals in the field. Indulging your 'green passions' in the concrete jungle of urban Chennai is certainly a challenging task but not one that is impossible. With a little planning and creativity you can create your own private and unique garden. While you may have a vision of how you would like your garden to look, it can be hard to know where to start. A good place would be Hillcrest Nurseries, Kentstown Road, Navan.
The garden centre has been opened since April 2006, but the nurseries have been there for many years. JJ O'Carroll of Hillcrest spoke of his passion for what he does and how the family run business has gone from strength to strenght. "My father and grandfather were horticulturists so I grew up learning from them. No matter what people want, we can sit down and advise them here. Ever body's requirements are different to fit in with their lives."

You can create the perfect ambience with furniture, plants and the correct lighting. Home grow veg
With the celebration of organic produce, its not surprising to learn that people are returning to growing their own vegetable and fruit in the their garden. "There is a great sense of pride and satisfaction in growing your own fruit & veg., planting it and seeing the end result, says JJ. Food prices have rocketed and freshly harvested fruit and vegetable are in scant supply in supermarkets. The veg on the shelves isn't exactly to be desired, so is it any wonder that thousands of us are deciding to grow our own? It's a booming trend that's sending hordes of people scurrying off to garden centres. Yes, it seems that many of us are finally listening to the experts about the need to eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetable a day and we want to make it a pleasure not a chore."
The different with Hillcrest is that they believe in what they do, and the business has gone through the generations. JJ and Norma will give you the best of his expertise and creativity. Knowledge like this is worth its weight in gold.
